Position Summary:

We are actively recruiting for a Surgery Center Nurse Manager, RN to join our growing team at North Georgia Eye Clinic.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the surgery center. The operations oversight will include, but is not limited to; supervision of staff, scheduling and patient care operations, adherence to regulatory guidelines and rules, staff schedules, and operational support.
  • Performs clinical coordination (patients, physician, co-workers, community, and volunteers) duties in a manner which meets the needs of the patient in a positive, timely, appropriate manner.
  • Performs duties within established procedural guidelines.
  • Demonstrates ability to organize, set priorities, and manage multiple priorities and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrates role accountability.
  • Serves as a professional role model.
  • Maintains patient safety within established procedural guidelines.
  • Understands and adheres to Organization’s Policies and Standards of Conduct.
  • Understands and adheres to assigned access to Protected Health Information in accordance with HIPAA and the policies of the Organization.
  • Demonstrates the safe operation of equipment and machinery as applicable and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation.
  • Communicates effectively regarding all aspects of job responsibilities
  • All daily tasks not completed as needed are to be reported to appropriate personnel.
  • Respects the rights and wishes of other employees, patients and visitors including the maintenance of a pleasant, quiet environment.
  • Interacts with all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees in a mature, responsible manner to ensure a positive and professional organization environment.
  • Displays a caring and responsive attitude and conducts all activities patient, family and employee rights and expectations
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Organization and patient information as required by organization policy.
  • Fosters a positive and professional organization environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member.
  • Diffuses/resolves conflict by appropriately communicating with those involved.
  • Accepts constructive criticism and gives suggestions in a professional manner.
Qualifications:

  • RN degree with current Georgia nursing license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • ASC Management Experience (Minimum two years)
  • Exhibits a sound clinical knowledge base, leadership skills, understanding of compliance with regulatory guidelines, and the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships across the organization.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Sound Clinical Judgement.
  • Leadership Aptitude.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Adept at learning new approaches and adapting to change.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position.
  • Attends and participates in all applicable surgery center training and development workshops scheduled by the Organization.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in an orderly manner.
  • Maintains dress and appearance according to standards as observed by management.
  • Demonstrates professional, courteous, helpful and cooperative behavior
