This unique posting is for an Area Manager in the Worcester area. VPA has provided services at UMass Memorial and other sites in the Worcester area since 1994. We are seeking an Evening and Weekend Area Manager to manage operations when our location managers are off duty. This position involves overseeing Valet, Parking Management, and Shuttle operations in the Greater Worcester Area.


This is a full-time position. Normal hours for this role will be around 5 pm-12 am Wednesday-Friday, and 10-12 hours per day on Saturdays and Sundays, with a semi-split schedule (we can discuss more at the interview). We do have some flexibility in this schedule to create a healthy work/life balance.

Base pay will be $45,000-$55,000/year (based on experience), with tips earned on top of that.

Starting in 2023 VPA is going back to weekly payroll - get a check, direct deposit, or a pay card each week!

Qualifications Required

  • Management or Leadership experience
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Own reliable transportation
  • Demonstrated ability to make smart decisions in stressful situations


Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Oversee Valet Parking and Shuttle operations at several locations in the Worcester area
  • Assist in the management of shuttle operations and drivers
  • Monitoring and management of up to 20 employees daily activities
  • Handle cash and work with parking equipment
  • Enforcing company policy and ensuring drivers are following laws
  • Working with hospital staff and supervisors
  • Review and maintain the daily tickets and auditing process
  • Reviewing cameras and assisting with the initial processing of claims
  • Assist fellow Management with daily administrative duties
  • Ensure proper staffing based on callouts and scheduling
  • Set up and manage special events at a variety of sites
