Job Summary:

The Area Manager works in support of the operations team to oversee the retail locations within the assigned area, ensuring that each location runs smoothly and meets sales and customer goals. The Area Manager ensures an exceptional customer experience that supports our purpose to “Leave ‘em Better”.

Essential Functions:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Abide by all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations/certifications.

  • Thorough understanding of geographic area to be overseen.
  • Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners.

  • Ability to train store managers on company policies, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to lead and supervise store managers effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels of the Company; clearly and concisely express opinions, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Demonstrate and practice corporate values, behaviors, and acts in an ethical and lawful manner at all times to include being a person of integrity, dependability, and be inspirational
  • Hires, trains, oversees, and advises store managers.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversees the financial performance of each location.
  • Acts as communication liaison between locations and headquarters.
  • Communicates information related to new policies, procedures, and promotions with and among locations.
  • Identifies new opportunities for sales and locations within the assigned area; reports findings to higher level executive.
  • Ensures area-wide customer satisfaction.
  • Oversees safety and security within the area.
  • Assists store managers as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications: Experience, Competencies, and Education

  • Education and Experience:
  • Customer relationship experience is required
  • Proven experience as an area manager required.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
  • Requires regular travel throughout the assigned area.
  • Competencies:
  • Patience and expertise that is required to direct and conduct training.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to operate multiple devices.
  • Possess the desire and ability to understand various computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and word.
  • Have a good understanding of the register systems, troubleshooting, and the back office software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
