Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio & musical instruments, is seeking to hire a Production Manager to join our Distribution Center team. This is a full-time position that will coordinate and oversee the day-to-day management of a distribution department, working within receiving, putaway, picking, and or packing functional areas. They will manage daily activities of a specific area and develops short and mid-term strategic planning of the operations to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. Performs other related duties, special projects or assignments as required.

Shifts:

2nd Shift - M-F 2:30PM-11:00PM

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support organizational objectives by working with management to direct staff
• Responsible for the safety training and safe working behaviors within their area of responsibility
• Responsible for generating, analyzing, and reporting out daily reports as they pertain to the area of responsibility
• Coach and support employees and team leads/supervisors
• Attend meetings and training as required
• Watches flow of the department to ensure available work and adjusts staff accordingly
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

• Proven leadership ability and experience (at least 3 years) preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective communication skills
• Conflict resolution skills
• Must be thorough and detail oriented.
• Must be dependable and available to work as needed
• Must have a positive attitude
• Must take a proactive approach towards planning

Experience:

• Prefer 3 (three) years of experience in a Manager role supervising at least 20 people
• Strong understanding of both Inbound and Outbound DC operations
• Logistics experience helpful
• A four-year business degree or commensurate leadership experience is preferred
• Proven ability to coach employees at all levels (to include performance reviews and discipline)
• Must have a strong working knowledge of MS products

This is a full-time position that will work in Sweetwater's brand new, state-of-the-art Distribution Center in Fort Wayne, IN.
