As such, the College is continually seeking opportunities to provide services which reflect the needs of our students. The food pantry has proven to be a critical resource for students and is an example of effectively meeting students’ needs. The VISTA member will build upon the outstanding work done by the current VISTA and have the latitude to expand the food pantry in new and exciting ways. The College will provide daily support for the VISTA, while giving the individual the autonomy to work independently and determine the best course of action to achieve objectives. Applications for the position will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with priority given to applications received by June 1. Hours are flexible and some remote work in available. Member Duties : In addition to managing the daily operations of the food pantry, the Vista member will work to establish and document community partnerships which support the pantry, with a focus on building on-going support. This will include researching and pursuing grant opportunities in conjunction with the college foundation. The VISTA member will also work to build a network of volunteers and develop and deliver training to those volunteers. In addition, the VISTA member will develop and deliver programming regarding healthy food choices and options, using student surveys and interactions to measure need and determine content. The VISTA member will work to build awareness, increase engagement, and enhance service delivery in the ATC food pantry. In doing so, the VISTA will directly address food insecurity and other basic needs of the ATC community.
