PRIMARY PURPOSE
Are you ready to join the rapidly growing world of e-commerce groceries? We are on the forefront of the eCommerce boom and serve the Stop & Shop Delivery fulfillment operation for the entire NY/NJ Metro market.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver groceries to customers with a high level of customer service through all kinds of weather conditions.
- Safely navigate a delivery truck within New Jersey and New York City area (including all five boroughs).
- Manage a planned delivery route and schedule with minimal exceptions.
- Serve our customers in an efficient, polite and professional manner while making deliveries to their homes and businesses.
- Represent the Peapod by Stop & Shop brand with the utmost integrity.
- Exhibit a high standard for attendance and teamwork.
- Ensure that food safety/sanitation and workplace safety practices are consistently adhered.
- Immediately report any issues or incidents to supervisor.
- Record route information and organize paperwork (invoices, coupons, etc.) accurately.
- Must follow all DOT Regulations and sustain a clear driving record.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Able to pass DOT, physical exam and drug test.
- Solid communication skills and customer service/satisfaction.
- Safely operate our box trucks.
