JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

A successful Ag Sales Specialist will build and maintain business relationships with all agricultural producers in the assigned Ohio counties (Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Medina, Stark, Summit, and Wayne) through consistent, value-added customer interactions advancing the relationship towards favorable purchasing decisions. Collaboration with management to create detailed customer profiles and action plans including on farm visits, quality demonstrations, product support and manufacture introductions, professional proposal presentations and strong after sales support will result in uncapped commission earnings. Additionally, a base salary is provided for detail oriented administrative work, CRM utilization, industry meeting attendance, and product training (both onsite and manufactures’ facilities). Representing the most productive, premium products in the agriculture industry is fun and extremely rewarding with unlimited earning potential.

COMPETENCIES:

A passion for Agriculture is a must, knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operations is preferred. Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills- gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity. Strong sales skills- have a good working knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies. Self-motivated- take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Customer service skills- ability to communicate effectively and excellent attention to detail.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma. Preferred, College degree. Ability to understand, explain, and implements sales and financing programs. Sales experience in the Agricultural equipment industry. Computer proficiency. Must be familiar with programs such as Microsoft, Excel, and Outlook. Willingness to travel to trade shows and training sessions. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
