General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced System Engineer - Architecture, Integration, and Test. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. We offer a flexible work schedule with every other Friday off along with the potential for a hybrid work site.

DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Performs requirements analysis, requirements definition, and requirements management
  • Performs System Software Architecture Design
  • Performs planning and execution of systems integration and design verification testing (DVT)
  • Performs technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for subsystems and system elements
  • Performs detailed technical System Architecture analyses for a subsystem or system elements
  • Performs System Modeling and Simulation in Magic Draw
  • Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools
  • Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves System Architecture design weaknesses
  • Interface across program working groups in support of system design, integration, and test

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in the use and understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Proficiency in systems integration and test (verification planning and execution)
  • Proficiency with requirements management and development processes and tools (DOORS)
  • Proficiency with MBSE concepts and use, including system modeling language (SySML) in the Magic Draw software
  • Familiarity with System (Command and Control) Architectures
  • Familiarity with Software (Command and Control) Design

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Five (5+) years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus three (3) years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense SECRET security clearance within a reasonable time after hire. Currently active Secret Clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
