Scope of Position
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing health care services to adult patients within the parameters of a standard care agreement with an attending physician member of James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute.
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner provides health care services to adult patients working in collaboration with a licensed physician member of CHRI medical staff. Health care services provided include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education and counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention and referral to other health care providers and community resources when appropriate.
Minimum Education Required
2-Year College Degree with a Major in nursing
Additional Education Desired
Bachelor's Degree with a Major in nursing
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a CNP in the State of Ohio.
2. Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
3. Master's degree in Nursing
4. Current licensure to prescribe in Ohio
