Pawnee Mental Health Services is a private, not-for-profit community mental health center dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to strengthen the wellness of our communities. Operating over 10 counties in North-Central Kansas, we provide a full range of psychotherapy, crisis, medication management, and substance abuse recovery services to over 7000 adults, adolescents, and children every year. Pawnee is the only provider in our service area who welcomes anyone in need of mental health services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – regardless of their insurance, status as a client, or ability to pay. The Role You Play

As a Team Lead, you will perform the duties of an Adult Case Manager at the organization, and act as the lead for day-to-day management tasks for lower-level staff under you.

  • The Day-to-Day
    • Provide Case Management to your caseload of clients, lightened from a full time Case Manager as appropriate
    • Train all new staff, setting up shadowing opportunities and ensuring that everyone is meeting State standards for training
    • Address job duty concerns with staff, such as paperwork completion and note audits using Pawnee’s electronic medical records system
    • Assist staff with questions about their job responsibilities or Pawnee processes
  • Other Duties as Assigned
    • Keep in communication with regional ACS Supervisor regarding staff concerns
    • Perform minor disciplinary actions as needed

They are patient and friendly, able to develop wide networks of resources to assist their clients. Finally, they have a passion for leading people and a desire to train a great staff.

  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent work experience
    • Reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and automobile liability insurance
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Basic computer skills
  • Preferred
    • 1 year of Case Management experience.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office
