Summary:

Performs a variety of administrative duties for the Domestic Violence Services Program Director, including but not limited to clerical tasks, document preparation, scheduling, shredding and data entry.

Qualifications:

Possession of an Associates degree in and three years of administrative experience preferably in a social service agency or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of office practices, procedures and management, and working knowledge of office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal & written form.
  • Proficiency in business English, spelling, grammar and composition.
  • Ability to act with initiative, independently and with good judgment.
  • Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively execute office and administrative detail and follow up on same
  • Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions, and meet deadlines through effective organization of workload.
  • Must be detailed oriented, efficient and organized.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, reports and files.
  • Ability to act with initiative, independently and with good judgment considering the needs and interests of the agency and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists Program Director and Program Staff with administrative and clerical work
  • Handles routine office matters, notifying the Program Director of action taken when appropriate.
  • Must be able to work in the office 40 hours a week during regular business hours.
  • Is familiar with HIPAA and its applicability to the program and CHILD, Inc.
  • Answers telephone, returns calls in a timely manner and handles routine requests for information.
  • Maintains program statistics.
  • Assists with grant submissions and reports as needed.
  • Files and maintains program files, including shredding, keeping files up to date, and ensuring compliance with agency recordkeeping retention requirements.
  • Fills in at Reception at lunch and as needed and helps other CHILD, Inc. Administrative Staff when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33,600.00 - $35,000.00 per year
