West Midtown Medical Group, located in mid-town Manhattan, is a Joint Commission-accredited diagnostic and treatment center providing addiction treatment and full-service primary medical care in an out-patient setting. We provide comprehensive, patient-centered addiction treatment services using medication assisted therapy (methadone, buprenorphine, vivitrol) in conjunction with individual and group counseling.

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and dedicated administrative assistant to join our experienced team of professionals.

Responsibilities

·Check-in patients and verify information on record is up-to-date.

·Check patients’ benefit card at each visit and refer to Billing and Benefit Coordinator if benefits are inactive or patient is uninsured..

·Schedule patient appointments with West Midtown providers. Coordinate patient appointments with counselor.

·Schedule patient appointments with off-site providers as per West Midtown provider referrals. Follow up on all off-site consultations, verify that patients were seen and that all records are sent to West Midtown.

·Enter patient data in computer including update of diagnosis codes and patient profiles.

·Answer phones in a professional and pleasant manner, transfer calls appropriately, take messages when necessary and relay to appropriate person within a reasonable time frame

·Make copies, fax/email documents prepare reports and correspondence as directed by medical providers.

Work cooperatively as part of a complex team and be sensitive to the needs of patients in treatment.

Requirements

  • One year clerical experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer operations.
  • Experience with medical billing preferred.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.

Pay: $16.20 - $17.86 per hour
