What you’ll do

The Administrative Assistant will work at our Spokane Regional Stabilization Center. Provide administrative and clerical support to the unit. Be an active listener to client needs and concerns; provide customer service to visitors, staff, and incoming calls; monitor facility activities on main level, taking actions and making notifications when necessary. This position supports the division goals by maintaining contract compliance by maintaining client safety and unit security while also completing documentation for services provided. Additional duties include:

  • Present an approachable, supportive demeanor to visitors consistent with the vision and the core values of Pioneer Human Services. Treat all visitors and staff with respect and dignity. Maintain and respect privacy and confidentiality in a relationship to both visitors and service providers.
  • To answer phones in a professional manner and direct the calls to the appropriate location. Document all phone messages taken and deliver them to the intended recipient.
  • Greet visitors and have them sign in. Locate service providers for visitors.

What you’ll bring
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • At least one year of experience delivering excellent customer service.
  • At least one year experience in human services, preferably working with homeless adults, economically disadvantaged, mentally ill, or chemically dependent.
  • Prefer experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance abuse disorders, and/or criminal histories.
