Position Summary
The Division of Allied Health Sciences is seeking Adjunct Instructors for lecture and/or labs for the following disciplines:
As an adjunct professor, you work with students at higher education facilities to provide them with the knowledge and training they need to be successful in their chosen career. Your ability to work on a course-by-course basis gives you the flexibility to choose when you want to work and when you don't.
- Microbiology
- Biology
- Chemistry
- General Physical Science and
- Anatomy & Physiology.

Duties and Responsibilities
Typical duties of adjunct instructors include but aren't limited to:
- Teach community & technical college students in a specific field of expertise and engage with students to help them learn.
- Review/refine a class syllabus to include instructor-specific contact information and course policies and ensuring that the syllabus meets department and college standards
- Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments
- Grade assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
- Assess students' progress based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations
- Report student learning outcomes, class reviews, and analyzing student data
- Collaborate with colleagues on course curriculum
- Advise students on how to be successful in class
- Stay updated on innovations and changes within their course field
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Master's degree in the discipline or Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the discipline.
Experience
Teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

- Clear, concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to teach utilizing real-world experience
- Can utilize email and Blackboard (our learning management system)
- Demonstrates passion about their academic field and education in general
