The Activities Coordinator plans and prepares resident special events and general activities. Provide support to Team Support Specialists when a House Coordinator is not available. Provide support and assistance in programming to assist individuals with mental illness to achieve a high level of functioning and independence.

This role has a fixed schedule Tuesday-Sunday, 1 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Provides direction for the planning and implementation of:

1. Resident special events.

2. Recreation schedules for all Rose Hill Center programs, and physical activity programming (second shift and weekends).

Available to provide supportive monitoring of residents.

Support all aspects of the Rose Hill program, enabling the residents to achieve treatment goals.

Document activity in the resident charts.

Communication to Clinical Team as needed.

Observe, monitor and report changes in residents’ behavior.

Provide personal care, protection, and supervision to the residents.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Associates degree or equivalent experience in a health care service field.

Demonstrate the ability to engage residents in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of illness or phase of recovery and use principles of trauma informed care and a willingness to support and assist residents with trauma related issues.

Must be 18 years of age

Capable of handling emergency situations

Ability to read and write well and follow oral and written instructions, and the ability to complete the training to obtain and maintain valid chauffeur’s license and necessary certifications, included but not limited to CPR and First Aid.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.75 per hour
