Activities Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate, hardworking, dedicated individual to assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the activity program.
Wyoming Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 60-bed care community providing skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation to home services, and long-term care.
Responsibilities:

1. Observe and chart patient attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement in activities. Ensure patient’s response to activities is documented accurately.

2. Assist in developing, organizing, directing, and conducting activity programs to meet the interests, physical, cognitive, and psycho-social needs of all patients.

3. Assist with the preparation of written monthly activities calendars and distribute to patients.

4. Develop and display holiday decorations throughout the facility and assist with hallway bulletin boards.

5. Travel outside of facility to transport patients for shopping and other scheduled outings.

6. Assist with the completion of activity assessments of all patients.

7. Participate in scheduled reviews of patient discharge plans.
Education/Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.

- Must possess valid driver’s license.

- Must have a current CPR certification (or acquire CPR certification within first 90 days of hire).

- Must maintain a current Food Handler’s Permit, or acquire within 6 months of hire (in applicable counties).
