WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

On-Call Activities Assistant who is responsible for a variety of duties in the Health Center including but not limited to: Implementing therapeutic, meaningful activity programs to meet the individual Patient Care Unit (PCU) residents’ needs and interests. Providing back-up and other assistance to the entire activity team as needed. The right candidate for this position must be available to work a flexible schedule.

SCHEDULE:

· Rate of Pay - $20/hour PLUS shift differentials and stipends for professional licenses/certificates

· SIGN ON BONUS - To be discussed during interview

· Shifts may also include mornings, evenings, weekends and some holidays

· On-Call - Notified of available shifts when a regular staffing vacancy arises (does not offer a regular and customary schedule or working hours)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in a social or recreational program in a health care or senior services setting

· Knowledge of the regulatory requirements applicable to the Patient Care Unit and Skilled Nursing Facility activities

· Patience and understanding of the aged, tact and courtesy in dealing with residents

REQUIREMENTS

Required to maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to staff and residents. Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must meet health assessment requirements as regulated by the California Department of Social Services, including TB testing and fingerprint clearances required by California DSS/CCL. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing sufficient to perform the tasks required.
