Summary:

This job is primarily responsible for computing, posting and paying accounts payable.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information

• Review invoices when received, send out to the appropriate department for approval.

• Post and pay accounts.

• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.

• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Assure proper coding of invoices.

• Reconcile vendor statements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel.

• Prior experience working in accounts payable required.
