Position summary:
Responsible for supporting the CFO in the fiscal management and coordination of the Comal County Crisis
Center’s 24/7 grant activities both before and after the award. Works closely with CFO to establish the
highest standards for fiscal management. Maintains records of funding sources and financial records.
Essential Functions:
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
As a key member of the CCCC Accounting Team:
  • Partners with all members of the Executive Team and accounting department to fulfill the
organization’s mission and goals, establishes departmental direction and focus
  • Acts in accordance with the agency’s mission statement and goals
  • Commits to cultural awareness and diversity with the ability to appreciate and equally serve all
ethnic and diverse individuals and groups

Grant Responsibilities:
  • Prepare grant data to meet all deadlines
  • Assist in compiling, organizing and assembling financial reports monthly or as requested
  • Prepare monthly billing
  • Review monthly financials for journal entries
  • Oversight of in kind donations
Financial Management:
  • Effectively communicate and present critical financial issues to CFO and CEO
  • Assist with annual single audit and all funding source monitoring as requested
  • When necessary prepare and code invoices for approval
  • Print checks for payment of invoices and reimbursements
  • Support CFO for monthly board meetings
  • Participates in agency events and fundraisers to ensure all in-kind is documented in accounting
system
  • Record, maintain, and distribute gift cards
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the accurate oversight of the budget and managing expenses related to the budget
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree accounting and at least 3 years of experience in non-profit accounting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in fund accounting
  • Must perform advanced administrative and accounting duties
  • Familiar with grant processes, particularly related to fiscal management
  • Mastery of client management systems and computer software programs (Office 365, Excel, etc)
  • Willingness and ability to serve on call 24/7 to respond to crisis and emergencies when needed, a
must
  • Well organized, flexible and able to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual desired
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Must possess a current, valid Texas driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance
  • Must pass Texas Criminal Background Check requirements and Sex Offender Registry check
