What you will be doing

The Albertsons Companies has an opening at the National Accounting Services Center for an Accountant II in the Real Estate Processing Department, for a A/R CAM Accountant. The primary functions include assisting the CAM processing team with questions on CAM reconciliations, complete challenging CAM recons, pull KPIs, reconcile MRI to Oracle, balance sheet reconciliation and multi-system research to analyze data. Working closely with Property Managers and completing other Accountant and leadership tasks.

The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ. This is currently a hybrid work environment (2 days a week in office).

Main responsibilities

• Leadership qualities: creating efficiencies with coworkers, point person on projects, support team members with questions, motivator, training providing constructive feedback, conflict resolution, mentor, and lead by example mentality
• Month-end closing responsibilities and journal entries
• Prepare periodic account reconciliations and reports for management
• Responsible for providing guidance to internal/external customers
• Support department KPI, SOX testing responsibilities and audit requirements
• Create standard and adhoc reports utilizing various applications: Oracle OTBI, Access, Excel, ODBC, MRI
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines with minimum supervision and independent decision making
• Honest and trustworthy, exhibiting sound business ethics
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and comfort with accrual calculations, spreadsheet analysis and payment processing.
• Team player with good customer service skills
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, initiative with analytical abilities
• Knowledge of Real Estate A/R, retail operations, or MRI or Yardi a plus
• Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

• Four-year college degree in Accounting or Business-Related Field
• Five or more years lead accounting experience in a larger organization with mainframe-based accounting systems
• Advanced level PC skills with knowledge of Windows & Microsoft software applications
