We are looking for a dynamic Accountant who will report to the Core Controller and will be a part of a team that is responsible for recording the accounting functions of the Core Operations group.

We are looking for a dynamic Accountant who will report to the Core Controller and will be a part of a team that is responsible for recording the accounting functions of the Core Operations group.
The core group increases competitiveness in our aftermarket products and supports Navistar’s sustainability efforts. Thus, helping save the planet by recycling materials and offering products at a better value.In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the team with various day-to-day activities as well as performing numerous month-end close tasks.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, audit requests, etc.
- Assist with collection and management of core suppliers
- Create a business partnership with core operations departments and company accounting groups
- Introduce and develop new improvements to current processes
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least 1 year of accounting experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree and CPA
- At least 1 year of accounting experience
OR
- Master’s degree in Accounting
OR
- Master’s degree and CPA

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
- Advanced experience with PowerBI and Excel
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Understanding of PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and Essbase (nice to have)
