The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of employees, planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and for recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operational procedures, and working conditions. This role takes working well on a team pitching in when things need to get done.

This is a *_2nd shift_ supervisor position working _four days a week, 10-hour shifts, Monday - Thursday*_ with an approximate start time of 3:30 pm. Overtime on Fridays may be required to meet weekly production goals._

The Duties*

• Lead a department team of approximately 10-12 employees in meeting daily, weekly and monthly production targets; scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; resolving problems; and reporting results to management
• Understanding of the production schedule and implementation
• Responsible for communicating daily and weekly goals to your team members as well as overall company goals and objectives
• Make judgment calls when the department or production manager is unavailable regarding troubleshooting personnel, production and machine issues
• Fill-in for co-workers when needed
• Ensure the safety of all personnel by implementing and enforcing all company safety policies
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Organize tools, and materials and keep work areas free of clutter
• Maintain tools and equipment through proper storage, training, maintenance, and usage
• Understand, follow, and enforce employee conduct guidelines established in the employee handbook. Answer personnel questions and/or obtain clarification of handbook content through Management or Human Resources
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the company as needs change

The Qualifications

• Current Driver's license and ability to obtain forklift license with in house training certification
• Business related degree preferred and/or 3-5 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing setting
• LEAN manufacturing background and experience preferred
