POSITION PURPOSE:

The ideal candidate should have relevant in-house experience at a real estate private equity firm, real estate consultancy, or private placement group, and be keen to take on an integral role in an entrepreneurial environment. The Partner Relations Manager's primary responsibilities will be supporting fundraising activities and international business development, specifically relating to real estate equity funds and co-investments.

The Global Partners Group is responsible for investor relations and capital raising for CIM’s global institutional investor base, which includes public and private pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, investment consultants, and OCIOs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for articulating CIM's investment strategy, platforms, competitive advantages, and performance, and for explaining in detail CIM's various investments to both existing and potential investors and other stakeholders
  • Function as real estate equity specialist for the GPG team, and effectively work or partner with other PRMs were needed to provide support in knowledge gap and to respond to any investor's inquiries related to CIM’s related products.
  • Promoting CIM's organization (brand awareness and recognition)
  • Be a primary point of contact for CIM's existing investors to provide and maintain regular communication and client service through in-person meetings and/or calls
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new potential investors and respond to their requests and concerns
  • Research and analyze potential investors, competitors, and other market dynamics
  • Help to generate and source new investments
  • Work closely with the Business Development Group to create and structure new products
  • Represent CIM at various trade organizations, conferences, panels, and the like
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Oversight Group to generate due diligence and other offering materials such as PPM, Flipbook, and DDQ's
  • Participate in preparing responses to investor requests
  • Accompany existing and new investors on property tours as needed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field required, MBA preferred
  • Between 5- and 15 years of experience in private equity institutional funds
  • Direct experience in Investments or Client Service / Investor Relations with an established network of institutional contacts
  • Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with SalesForce or similar software is a plus
  • Series 7 & 63 Licenses required
  • Competent with software products, including Microsoft Offices, Salesforce, and Concur
  • Strong knowledge of the Institutional industry & investment process
  • Operate standard office equipment.
