Position: Stock Clerk

Experience: At least 6 months of recent experience preferred (stocking, warehouse, inventory, etc.)

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Pay: $16/hour

HB Staffing is seeking Stock Clerks to join our growing and dynamic team ASAP!

Job Description:

• Receives supplies and equipment delivered from vendors or other persons; checks information listed on receipts and compares with the information listed in purchase orders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the quantity, price, and other specifications of ordered items
• Uses a pallet jack, dolly/hand truck, or forklift to move varying quantities and sizes of items; places items in proper storage areas, and pulls items for issuance
• Issues items for delivery by preparing supplies for mailing or shipment
• Monitors and updates the status of items and maintains departmental inventory control of items by performing periodic physical inventories; records or documents inventory data using manual or automated logs or files; and may establish and implement criteria for allowable minimum and maximum quantities of items stocked in departmental storerooms
• Other related duties assigned

Position Requirements:

• Storekeeping methods and procedures including ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, delivering, and disposing supplies and equipment
• Inventory control and documentation practices and methods
• Storeroom safety practices with emphasis on proper and safe lifting techniques
• Operate stepladders, dollies, and other tools or equipment in a safe, proper, and efficient manner in order to store, place, or pull a wide variety of items which may be heavy or fragile
• Read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions on established storeroom policies and procedures
